HMY has been provided with a verified recognition for achieving their C02 – reduction targets in logistics. In 2023 HMY has received its second Lean & Green Star for having achieved a 42% reduction in our logistics processes, since 2017.
How have we reached that?
We emitted 42% less CO2 , which means 2,747 tons of CO2 saved in the atmosphere.
1) Shipment of trailers to intermediate logistics platforms and subsequent dispatch to each store with smaller vehicles (31%).
2) Replacement of fuel trucks with electric forklifts used in our international logistics platform (8%).
3) The rest (3%) has been the result of using renewable energies, optimizing routes and compacting our waste.
