HMY Brazil in APAS, obligatory meeting point for American supermarket

APAS, the international fair for management of supermarket business, celebrated its 28th edition in the Expo center of Sao Paulo from the 7th to the 11th of May this year.

This fair brings together each year big domestic and international brands. A total of 550 exhibitors participated in an area of 60,000 m². The fair created an excellent meeting opportunity and attracted more than 70,000 visitors, all of whom got the chance to see firsthand new products available within the Distribution sector.

As with the last two events for this fair, HMY Brazil was in attendance, demonstrating its high capability to service the market. This year the HMY stand occupied an area of 100 m² under the slogan “Concebemos lojas desde o projeto inicial até sua concepçao total”. A range of the latest competitive innovations were presented which promoted different solutions to Customers in the supermarket shop fitting arena.

Among the products which could be seen on the stand was the new model of checkout that stood out to many visitors, based on the “Alura” product line, which is an original design from the HMY Group, but it has been personalized to suit the Latin-American market under a range called “HMY XPRES”. Another great success was the range of gondolas for sales representatives, on display in different configurations to be adapted to any type of product set up from shelves, load rods, integrated lighting in the shelving and a wide range of specific accessories.

New equipment designed for perfumeries were also a focus of considerable attention, with a highly evolved lighting system based on LED’s and a great diversity of accessories which are specifically adapted for the merchandising of retail products. Finally, all solutions were focused on personalising the retail brands at the sales point (Exhibitors or POP) showing specifically the model created for Coca-cola and making it clear that the company wants to position itself decisively in this growth market.

Moreover, the high class finishes in stainless steel, wood and glass brought an extra touch of quality and an enhanced aesthetic needed for this particular market sector.

For Cash and Carry establishments the new Rack HMY system was presented, with an integrated gondola for the optimum use of the space available.

HMY Brazil is gaining ground in the Brazilian and Latin-American markets, in which they have been present in for 15 years.
